October Lunch and Learn: Metro Waste Authority
Thursday, October 1, 2026 (11:30 AM - 1:00 PM) (CDT)
Description
Garbage. We've all got it, and we may think we know where it goes; but then what?
Join Metro Waste Authority and the Pleasant Hill Chamber for a Lunch n' Learn at Metro Park East Landfill on Thursday, Oct. 1, starting at 11:30 AM.
Lunch and networking will commence in the conference room on site before an optional tour from an air-conditioned van. See this integral community resource through the eyes of the experts. You'll not only know what happens next; you'll have a lot of pride in how it's done.
Parking:
After entering the facility, please proceed to the scale house, via the bypass lane on the right. Parking is available right outside the building. (See the map attached for reference) We will meet in the conference room inside the brick building for presentation and lunch before departing for a tour. We have plenty of parking on site, however, the parking right outside the scale house is a bit limited. We recommend carpooling if possible.
Tentative Timeline:
11:30 AM - Noon: networking/lunch
Noon: presentation/questions
12:30: depart for tour
1:00 PM: arrive back to personal vehicles
